City Auction 08-16-2021

Due to a legal issue, on Monday August 2nd, 2021 the council voted to cancel the auction and relist it for Monday August 16th, 2021.

The City Council for the City of Eagle Grove is selling a variety of vehicles and other public items no longer needed for daily operation. The vehicles and other public items are located at different buildings throughout the community. For inquiries and to view the items, please contact City Hall by calling (515) 448-4343 or come to 210 E. Broadway, Eagle Grove, IA 50533.

The City Council will be taking Individual Sealed bids (located at City Hall) that must be delivered to and received by the City Clerk by 4:30 p.m. on August 16, 2021. The Sealed bids will be opened at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, August 16th, 2021 at the City Council Public Meeting.

In the event of a tie bid, the tie bidders will be given one more chance to provide a new bid by a scheduled time defined at the August 16, 2021 Council meeting. You are not required to be present for the opening of the bids. The items are being sold without a buyer contingency of any kind and bidders must have financial arrangements secured prior to bidding. Ownership and possession will be given following closing and final settlement.

The council reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Should the council approve the selling of the item, the council shall take the highest bid or reject all bids for that item.

The items are being sold “as is” and interested parties must use their own due diligence and should inspect the items to the extent deemed necessary and rely on their own judgement when bidding. The City of Eagle Grove makes no warranties, express or implied, about the condition of the items.
