Equipment Operator

The City of Eagle Grove, IA is accepting applications for the position of Equipment Operator in the Street Department. Minimum qualifications include graduation from high school and experience in street and public works maintenance or any equivalent combination of experience and education that would provide knowledge in the following areas:

• Knowledge in the use of tools and equipment used in the general maintenance, construction and repair of city facilities
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy manual tasks and work in all types of weather.
• Ability to perform minor equipment repairs
• Ability to follow standard safety practices and procedures
• Ability to establish and maintain and effective working relationship with employees and the general public
• Sufficient physical strength, endurance and agility to perform assigned tasks.

Successful candidate will be subject to:

• pre-employment drug testing
• random drug testing.
• pre-employment physical.
