Water - Utilities

We have (3) full time employees who operate the plant, perform Iowa One Call locates, read meters, carry out service calls and complete system repairs.

The Eagle Grove water plant was constructed in 1967.  Water is supplied to the plant by one 450’deep and two 70’ deep wells and has a capacity to pump 1,000,000 gallons of water per day.  All of the water pumped through the plant is lime softened and fluoridated for dental health.

Recent plant upgrades and near-future distribution improvements will make our water system viable and very cost competitive for decades to come.  Due to the excellent condition of our wells and a modern treatment plant, our water is touted to be some of the best tasting water in the state.
